John is a Principal Advisor at Be Ready Exit Solutions and is dedicated to helping business owners achieve their business transition goals by getting the money they need, exiting their business how they want and transitioning it to whom they choose. As a business transition advisor, John prepares owners and their businesses for any internal transfer or external sale by minimizing foreseeable risks and increasing the salable value of the company. He also designs and implements the necessary business succession strategies to enable owners to successfully transfer their business to family members, key employees, co-owners, or outside buyers.

As a prior M&A attorney and transition advisor, John has over 25 years of experience facilitating all types of mergers and acquisitions, co-owner buy-outs, family or key employee transfers and other succession strategies. He is an active member of the International Exit Planning Association, Exit Planning Institute, the National Alliance of Mergers and Acquisitions and the Business Enterprise Institute. He is a guest lecturer at various associations including the Michigan Manufactures Association, the Construction Association of Michigan, the American Mold Builder Association, Vistage Michigan and other industry associations. He also works with various non-profit organizations which support Michigan’s advanced technology and human and health services.

John has two daughters, Madelyn and Leah, two German shorthair pointers, Autumn and Coal, and lives in southeast Michigan. He is devoted to his faith in God and loves the great outdoors- especially hunting, skiing, fishing, biking and organic gardening.
